All prospective students will be asked to identify themselves as learners of the following four categories:

	One who does not know any Bangla (absolutely a beginner)- nor any other Indian language
	One who does not know Bangla but has knowledge of one or the other Indian languages
	Knows a little bit of Bangla (either has speaking skill or can read - haltingly, etc.)
	Wants to learn advance Bangla

          The categorization will be useful in judging the request for acceleration of pace of course work and for advancement of schedule of examinations.
